Not only is she an absolute doll, she plays Ultimate for my Alma Mater, the University of Texas. For those of you who don’t know what Ultimate is, check out this crazy video and you’ll get an idea of what this little lady does. Yes, and they really do run full out and face plant while diving for the frisbee! She is one tough cookie. We had a lot of fun strolling around campus. I can’t believe I graduated with my Photojournalism degree from UT 12 years ago. Wow. Just…WOW. Anyhow, she totally rocked her session and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for her down the road.

Jenny is funny. She told me she freaked out when they found out they were having a girl. “I’m so not a girly girl!” she said, as she started pulling out all of these cute pink dresses with ruffled bloomers. But doesn’t little A rock the outfits so well? I mean, come on. How could resist? What a lucky little gal to have such cool, laid-back parents. Check out the awesome painting below. One of my favorites from my friend (and her bro-in-law) Will. Thanks for trusting me and letting me let loose in your house, guys. And for the Indian food. YUM!

I just skimmed through last years personal photos trying to find some bluebonnet photos, and unlike my clients’ folders, my personal photo folders are all whack and unorganized. I’ve saved just about every frame I captured last year, and they are all dumped in a folder called Miles. All raw, unedited photos. Waiting to be loved. ??? I hope to take better care of my personal photos and maybe tackle them as I shoot instead of waiting for “free time”. Ha!

Anyhow, I promise myself to post more photos of my sweet sweet boy. He will be turning TWO in just a few short months and I want to look back on the last year and remind myself of how much we’ve all grown.

On to the requisite bluebonnet photos. We are so fortunate to have a small patch of wildflowers a five minute walk from our house. We ran over and squeaked out a few shots before the sun went down. Miles had a kick watching Mama dash back and forth in a sweaty frenzy trying to set the timer on the camera. (You should have seen the outtakes…ha!)

He kept going over to the tripod to “compose” his shot, then said “Cheese! Cheese!” It was the cutest thing ever.
